The apt-rpm is said to be an rpm-support branch of
apt. The current homepage is
http://apt-rpm.org/. It now supports both
repomd and multilib, so it is again a full-featured alternative to
yum and other rpm-based tools. It is being
worked on mostly by Panu Matilainen, big thanks for that. A tighter
libept integration is planned. Currently,
a cut-down version of libept builds on fedora core with latest
apt-rpm version and can list cache contents successfully.
